Overview of the High Vibes Game
One of the most vibration-raising things any of us can do is give. I mean truly give, of your heart and soul. And, when we give everyone benefits.
That’s where the High Vibes Game comes in—you share your secrets for “raising your vibes” plus five great posts from your favorite bloggers at a fantastic, positively-oriented, news sharing site called high Vibe it.
You give your attention to deserving bloggers by sharing their work and you get to share your knowledge and expertise with an ever expanding audience.
When you play, you’ll be sharing your own work, plus the work of others, with many, many, people. And you’ll be helping to introduce lots of folks to high Vibe it. And that’s a good thing, because the more people who frequent high Vibe it, the more exposure we all get.
Also, to sweeten the deal, I’m adding yet another layer of “blog exposure” to this game. As the High Vibes Game progresses I’ll keep track of all of the participants, and periodically feature, and link back to, your “Raising Your Vibes” posts.
I’ll share only a few at a time, so each link will be likely to get more attention (not lost in a long master list of everyone who played). I’ll do this for everyone who participates—just make sure to link back to OptimistLab, so I can keep track of you.
I’ll also compile a complete list of all participants after the project runs its course. And, I’ll consider, depending on how the project progresses, dividing the entries into categories, as Aaron Potts has done with the Simply Successful Secrets Project.
Note: This game was inspired by the phenomenally successful Simply Successful Secrets Project created by Aaron Potts of Today is that Day, plus a desire to help promote the well-deserving high Vibe it.
Again, feel free to email me with any questions.
Wanna Play but Didn’t Get Tagged?
No problem! I’ll tag you!
1. Just email me and let me know that you want to play.
2. Since I’ll be submitting one of your posts to high Vibe it, feel free to suggest a post, and include the link to it, in your email (pick a good one!).
3. I’ll then add your name to my list of bloggers I’ve tagged at the end of this post.
4. Once you’ve emailed me, consider yourself “tagged”. Go ahead and follow the directions in the “How to Play” section.
Be sure to link to OptimistLab in your “Raising Your Vibes” post—it’ll help me keep track of you.
The Person Who Tagged Me Didn’t Submit Anything to “high Vibe it”
Hey, it happens. If the person who tagged you seems unwilling to submit something for you, I’ll be glad to do it. Just shoot me a line. Feel free to suggest a post of yours, and include the link to it, in your email (pick a good one!).
What is “high Vibe it”?
High Vibe it is a news sharing site designed to help promote positively-oriented articles/posts/news from around the web. If you’ve been to Digg.com then you’ll understand the concept—high Vibe it functions very much like Digg. In fact, the site runs on an open source engine based on Digg.
But while Digg is oriented towards technology stories and conventional news, high Vibe it is centered around positive content. It’s the Digg for us!
Here’s how high Vibe it works: You submit positively oriented posts/news from the around the web to high Vibe it. Once submitted, any other user can then vote for the item you submitted.
At the same time, you can also discover great new bloggers, and content, by checking out the stories that have been submitted by other users and then voting for any article that you resonate with. When you do that, through the gift of your attention, you’ll be helping others find great content (posts with more votes rise to the top of the lists, and are therefore, more visible). And you’ll be helping deserving bloggers get more exposure.
High Vibe it is a relatively new site, and I think it’s a resource that has the potential to greatly expand the reach of positively oriented blogging. The more of us who give a little of our attention to high Vibe it, the better it will do. And the better it does the more exposure we all get.
Sure, if you want to spread the word, you could submit a few articles on your own, and tell a few other bloggers you know about high Vibe it (that’s how I was doing it, until I dreamed up this game), but if you play the High Vibes Game you’ll be able to do way more than you could by yourself.
Play the game and get others to play by tagging them—then watch as your reach, and high Vibe it’s reach, expands exponentially with each participant. The more who regularly go to high Vibe it, and submit and vote for stories—the more exposure we all get. It’s a win-win.
Feel free to email me if you have any questions about how high Vibe it works. If I can’t help I’ll try to find someone who can.
Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with high Vibe it—I just really like what Roger Oney, the founder, is doing with the site, And I’m inspired to help infuse it with positive, bubbling, energy, because I know it will benefit all of us.
Why Play?
- You’ll help expand the reach of positively oriented blogging.
- You’ll get lots of exposure for your own work (including a few links).
- You get to feel good through the high vibey-ness of giving your attention to, and sharing, deserving posts.
- You’ll help to increase traffic on high Vibe it, which in turn, can mean more exposure for your work and other’s work in the future.
- You’ll get at least two articles submitted to high Vibe it (your “How I Raise My Vibes” post, and the one that the person who originally tagged you submitted).
- Your “Raising Your Vibes” post will be featured on OptimistLab.
- You’ll get a link back to your blog (and even more exposure) from everyone you tag who plays.
- You’ll get to connect with other great bloggers.
- You’ll get to discover high Vibe it (if you haven’t already).
- You’ll help many, many, people discover high Vibe it.
- You’ll see both the immediate impact of your participation (lots of links to you and high Vibe it submissions) and the future impact (the growth of high Vibe it, and continued increased in exposure for positively oriented bloggers like yourself).
- You’ll discover how easy it is to find, and vote for, tons of great content on high Vibe it—in fact, feel free to make it a habit.
Well, that does it for the informational portion of this post. Next I’ll share my “High Vibes” secrets and list the blogs I tagged.
Hopefully I’ve covered all the bases here! Please feel free to email me if you have any questions. I’ll consider doing an FAQ about the game if it seems necessary.
Give. Love. Play. Have fun!
My High Vibes List
Here are my top five methods for “Raising My Vibes”:
Fun, Play, Humor—I’ve always been a pretty fun-loving person. I’m usually happiest around people and circumstances that allow a lot of fun and play. And I definitely gravitate towards people who “make me laugh”. I also enjoy doing stuff that will make others grin, for example, leaving really silly post-it notes in surprising places for friends to find, or making up a funny song and singing it into a message on a friend’s phone.
I honestly think this keeps me feeling quite young. And that’s ok with me. It’s all too easy to get overly serious, especially when it comes to personal development. But, I truly believe that a lighthearted, easy, attitude actually helps us open up and Allow the manifestation of all the stuff we desire.
Creativity—For me creativity is about the flow of pure Source energy (the very meaning of “High Vibes”). I also think that creativity can be applied to more areas than the traditional “artistic” pursuits like art or music. I think creativity can be experienced anytime we set aside our own consciousness and open ourselves up to broader consciousness. And, I think we all experience it.
In those moments, I find myself thinking about, and experiencing, things in new and refreshing ways. I might get an impulse to do something like art, or music, or writing, but I might also find that a genius solution to some problem I’ve been mulling over just pops into my consciousness. Anyway, I just Feel Good when I’m in that zone, and I find I’m always at my best after having been on a “creative jag”.
Stillness—Stillness is my main “tool” if I’m feeling a little, or a lot, out of balance. I like to lie down, even if it’s during the middle of the day, in a quiet place where I’ll be undisturbed. For me, it’s about shutting off as much energetic “noise” as possible. This is why I lie down—by making my physical being as comfortable as possible, it’s then less likely to produce any distracting sensations.
Sometimes I find that I need to just let my mind wander and do its own thing for awhile. I’ve found that sometimes when I’m off balance, trying to force myself to do “positive thinking” stuff doesn’t work. In those cases I have better results if just let go of wanting my mind to think any particular kind of thoughts, and simply let it be.
Eventually—usually it doesn’t take too long—solutions, inspirations, begin to occur to me. I start getting that uplifted feeling, and I find myself hopping off the couch, feeling much refreshed and re-balanced.
Appreciation—I love how powerful choosing to be appreciative can be. For me, it’s about being really thrilled with my life the way it is right now (even though there are many things I’m looking forward to manifesting in my future). The best trick I’ve found for doing this is to sit down and list things that I love about my life, where I live, the people I know, and so on. Usually the lift is immediate, but I also find that I’ll even be experience higher and higher vibes for several days after doing this exercise. It’s the “lift” that keeps on giving.
Lately I’ve also been playing with the idea that as my life evolves, many things I currently experience will not be a part of my future existence. So, with this in mind, even though I’m excited about the new stuff coming my way, I’m inspired to take the time to enjoy the things that will pass out of my life soon enough. I find that thinking about my life in this way helps me find lots of appreciation for my current circumstances while looking joyfully ahead (an optimal position to be in for manifesting all that fabulous stuff I have planned).
Animals—Animals are much more easily tuned into Source energy than we are (don’t worry, this isn’t because humans are bad or doomed, there are several very good reasons, which belong in a separate post), and so they vibrate at a higher rate than most of us do. I call it the “Four-Legged Zen”, and I find that when I’m around furry souls, I just start vibrating more in tune with them.
I don’t currently live with any animals—my current lifestyle and traveling habits wouldn’t make for a very good home—though I’d love to, and am sure I will again. In the meantime, I’ve found that seeing animals online or on television (the internet seems to be awash in cute animal pics) seems to make for a reasonable substitution. Even thinking about them, as I have been as I write this section, is giving me a bit of a lift. I just make sure to stay away from things entitled “Grizzlies Eating People!!”, or “When Venom Attacks!!”, or anything else that seems designed to promote fear about the natural world.
That does it for my top five methods for “Raising My Vibes”.
The Bloggers I Tagged
Now, any of you playing the High Vibes Game are only required to tag five bloggers (though please feel free to tag as many as you like), but I’m going to kick off the game with substantially more “tag-ees”. Cardin, this game is a good thing. Sharing our own feelings and ideas is one thing, but sharing the positivity of others is a wonderful level. I suppose it’s ok if I go with it on both of my blogs?
What you said about animals is so true. I have three cats and a dog and each of them has the power to return me to a happy center when I veer off course. My feeling is that no household is complete without animals, plants, and books.

Yay Carolyn! Please do go with this on both blogs–and feel free to “tag” as many people as you want. The more the merrier.
Looking forward to your “High Vibes” posts.
Indeed, I’m truly looking forward to the time when I can make a good home for some furry friends.

Hi, Cardin
Thanks so much for tagging me. I’ve just posted my High Vibe in “I Wanna Take You Higher”. Hopefully I did this right. I’m going to go submit it to High Vibe and then tag my favs!

Thanks Belle!
I’m so glad that this is feeling like not only a “good thing” to do–but also a fun thing! That, in and of itself, is so vibe-lifting!
